Dr. Victoria M. Sulimani Director General and Ambassador at Large emphasized the commitment of the Ministry to strengthen Sierra Leone’s global engagement to enhance it diplomatic presence.
However, with 26 missions to oversee and the achieve such commitment the current workforce is insufficient.
Moving forward, Dr. Sulimani addressed the ongoing issue of 421 Sierra Leonean migrants stranded in Niger, requiring verification and assistance. As a Ministry in charge of foreign affairs they are closely working with the International Organization Migration (IOM) to facilitate their safe return.
