Mary wanted to inspire other people to follow their dreams, just like she did. She said that achieving this record is like a dream come true for her, and she feels really proud of herself for accomplishing something that seemed impossible when she was younger.

To break this record, Mary had to do a special kind of makeover that included putting on different makeup items like foundation, blush, eye shadow, and lipstick. She got the idea to try for this record after seeing a chef named Hilda Baci break a cooking record.
Mary practiced a lot at home for many weeks, using her sisters and friends to help her get better and faster. She even did a practice run where she completed 48 makeovers in eight hours, which made her feel confident that she could break the record.
A makeup artist named Mary Yongai from Sierra Leone has set a new world record for the most makeovers done by one person in 24 hours! She did an amazing 111 makeovers, which is way more than her goal of 100 and much higher than the old record of 96 set by another artist in 2005.
