In line with its educational mandate, CHRISTIAN LAWYERS CENTRE has successfully conducted legal and compliance training for over 400 Church Pastors and Administrators in both Kono district and Bombali district respectively.The training which was held on Wednesday 2nd October (for Kono District) and Thursday, 3rd October, 2024 ( for Bombali District, Makeni) discussed highly critical legal compliance issues on the law and the legal system of Sierra Leone.
Regarding the training in Kono, it was hosted by the Assembly of God church situated at Konomanyie street, Koidu city while the training at Makeni was hosted by the Flaming Bible Church situated at Alex Street, off Ladies Mile, Makeni city. The overarching objective of the legal compliance training was to help broaden the horizon of church leaders and administrators on the area of the law and key legal compliance issues as they operate within and outside of the jurisdiction of Sierra Leone.

The Executive Director of Christian Lawyers Centre, Rashid Dumbuya Esq, in his opening statement stressed that the pastoral call is one that demands responsibility, orderliness and sacrifice.
He informed the audience that the training was a proactive step aimed at reducing the devastating statistics of court cases against churches and pastors in Sierra Leone. He added that the Legal Compliance training was born out of the desire to help address the myriad of legal challenges affecting churches and their leaders in the country.
The Executive Director extended thanks and appreciation to the leadership of the host Ministries and the planning committees for their invaluable support in making the programs a reality.Eight modules on very critical areas of the law and administration were covered by Barrister Rashid Dumbuya, Barrister Michael Dumbuya, Mr. Abdulai Dumbuya, and Pst. Kai Josiah.
A special certificate of training was given to all pastors and their administrators who graced the event.The training was covered by the press and a WhatsApp group was later created to share the full Conference materials with participants for effective reading and implementation in their various Ministries
